Tiktok removed from Google Play and App Store, government decides to ban 59 Chinese apps

The first app in this list is Tiktok, which has been removed from both Google Play and App Store.

The government has said in its statement that the Ministry has implemented these apps under Section 69A of the IT Act under the provisions of the Information Technology Act and the Ministry of Information Technology (Procedures and Safeguards for Blocking of Access of Information by Public) Rules 2009 and Considering the nature of the threats, 59 apps have been banned. According to available information, these apps were engaged in certain activities which could pose a threat to the sovereignty and integrity of India, defense of India, security of the State and public order.
