TVS Motor sales Increase by 33 Percent in February, Company to Launch New Electric Two-Wheelers

TVS Motor, one of the big two-wheeler companies, increased its sales by 33 percent to 3,68,424 units in February. In the same month last year, the company had sold 2,76,150 units. Its electric vehicle sales increased by 16 percent to 17,959 units. Sales of its two-wheelers have increased by 34 percent. It was 2,67,026 units.

TVS Motor’s two-wheeler sales in the country increased by 21 percent to 2,67,502 units. Sales of its motorcycles stood at 1,84,023 units, an increase of about 46 percent. Sales of the company’s scooters increased by 26 percent to 1,32,152 units. The company’s total exports stood at 98,856 units with a growth of about 85 percent. Exports of TVS two-wheelers increased by 98 percent to 90,308 units. Its three-wheeler sales increased by 16 percent to 10,614 units.

To meet the increasing demand for electric scooters, the company has prepared to increase the production capacity of iQube to 25,000 units per month. It also plans to expand the sales network of electric two-wheelers. The company has also made preparations to export electric two-wheelers in the international market. Its electric scooter iQube competes with Ola S1 Pro and Ather 450X.

This electric scooter has a 3.4 kWh battery. Its range in a single charge is about 100 kilometers. The top speed of iQube is 78 kilometers per hour. Its another variant iQube ST has a 5.1 kWh battery. Its range is about 145 kilometers and top speed is 82 kilometers per hour. This electric scooter can be charged up to 80 percent in about five hours. The price of TVS’s new electric scooter TVS It has 12 inch alloy wheels and 19 liter storage capacity inside the seat. TVS Motor plans to expand its range of electric two-wheelers. The company will launch electric two-wheelers at various price points. Sales of electric two-wheelers have increased in the last few years. Ola Electric is at first position in this market with more than 40 percent share. Many companies are launching their two-wheelers in this segment.
