Twitter is not safe under the leadership of Elon Musk, the company’s former safety head revealed
However, after Musk took over Twitter, Roth tweeted that the safety of the platform had improved under Musk. During a Knight Foundation conference Interview Roth was asked whether he stood by his views, to which he replied, “No.” Roth, who helped Twitter take difficult decisions for many years, also played an important role in blocking the Twitter account of former US President Donald Trump last year. Due to his resignation the number of companies advertising on this platform has decreased. Musk has restored Trump’s Twitter account.
Musk considers banning Trump a big mistake. Twitter had imposed this ban after the attack by Trump’s supporters on America’s Capitol Hill. Musk said that this mistake needed to be corrected. Along with this, he says that the ban on posts inciting violence on Twitter will continue.
Musk had said in a tweet, “Twitter has corrected the big mistake it made in banning his account. This ban was imposed without any violation of law or terms of service. Removing a sitting president from the platform would harm the United States. The trust in Twitter of half of the US population was undermined.” Earlier, they had conducted a poll related to restoring the account in which a little more than half of the people had agreed to restore the account. Trump, associated with the Republican Party, has announced to contest the election of the President of America again. Trump has said he has no interest in returning to Twitter. Trump’s Twitter account had more than 88 million followers at the beginning of last year. When Trump was asked at a Republican Party meeting about returning to Twitter, he said, “I don’t see any reason for it.” He told that he will remain intact with his app Truth Social.
