The starting price of Alienware x15 R1 is $1,999.99 (approximately Rs 1,45,800) while Alienware x17 R1 The starting price is $2,099.99 (approximately Rs 1,53,100). The company has not yet disclosed the price of its high range models. the company has Said Both these laptop models are available in the US with limited configuration from June 1. Their sale will start from June 15 with all configurations. The company has not given any information about their price and availability in India and other markets.
Alienware x15 R1 specifications
Alienware x15 R1 It is the slimmest gaming laptop of the company. To make it so thin, the company has used multiple advancements in thermal technology in it. It also includes Alienware Cryo-Tech which provides up to 25 percent thermal resistance compared to other laptops. For this, thermal interface material has been used in it which is called Element 31. It is a proprietary material of the company made of gallium-silicon liquid metal material. It is placed between the CPU and its thermal elements to dissipate heat and keep the core temperature down.
Keeping in mind the long game play, the company has also given it its HyperEfficient Voltage Regulation which increases the performance. Apart from this, this machine also has Smart Fan Control Technology which is based on Artificial Intelligence. This allows each fan to rotate, slow down and pause independently according to sensors located in core system components.
Apart from this, the company has made Alienware x15 R1 with Legend 2.0 design which comes with “Dark Core” chassis. It uses a black keyboard to prevent screen reflections. Earlier this was also seen in Alienware m15 R5 and m15 R6 devices.
The Alienware x15 features a 15.6-inch display with a choice of 1080p resolution/360Hz refresh rate or 1440p resolution/240Hz refresh rate. Consumers can also opt for hardware-based low-blue light technology ComfortView Plus to reduce eye strain. It features up to an Intel Core i9-11900H CPU paired with an Nvidia GeForce RTX 3080 GPU with 8GB of dedicated GDDR6 memory. It has up to 32 GB DDR4 RAM. Up to 4 TB storage space is provided in the laptop.
This gaming laptop has a 87WHr battery which is paired with a 240W power adapter. The Alienware x15 R1 also comes with a Windows Hello IR configuration that can use the camera for biometric login. It also has connectivity options like USB Type-C and USB-A ports as well as bundled USB Type-C and Ethernet adapter. The laptop weighs 2.27 kg and is available in weight up to 2.36 kg in the highest configuration depending on the variant.

Like the Alienware x15 R1, the Alienware x17 R1 has thermal management features like Element 31 and HyperEfficient Voltage Regulation. It has a large size display of 17.3 inches. It is available with 1080p resolution/360Hz refresh rate or 1440p resolution/120Hz refresh rate options. It has an Intel Core i9-11980HK CPU paired with an Nvidia GeForce RTX 3080 GPU (16GB GDDR6 memory).
It has 64GB DDR4 RAM. This device also has onboard storage of up to 4 TB. The Alienware x17 R1 has the same connectivity options as the x15 R1 model. Since this is a large machine, it also has a built-in Ethernet port. It is also more in thickness and weight. Its thickness is 20.9mm and its weight is 3.02 kg.
