Users will soon be able to use WhatsApp account on more than one device!

yaitoolbox@gmail.com12 months ago03 mins

WhatsApp has reportedly been working on multi-device support in its instant messaging app for some time. This feature was seen in the beta version of WhatsApp for iPhone in November last year. The feature of running the same WhatsApp account on multiple devices is also not provided in the WhatsApp beta update for Android released a day ago. WhatsApp’s multi-platform system has been long awaited, as this feature allows users to use their account on more than one device at a time. Currently, a user can use his account on only one device. When you register the same account on another device, WhatsApp automatically logs out of the first device.

WABetaInfo adds multi-platform feature to WhatsApp v2.20.110 beta for Android saw Had gone. It’s still in development mode and hasn’t been enabled in the app, which means you can’t see it even if you’re running the latest beta.

WhatsApp

WABetaInfo has found evidence that WhatsApp will notify users in a chat if the person contacting them has added a new device. Because WhatsApp is end-to-end encrypted, whenever a user adds a new device to WhatsApp, the app must change its encryption key.

Apart from this, the latest beta also gives us more information on upcoming features. In this, users will be able to automatically delete messages for both the parties. This feature was earlier being called Disappearing Messages or Delete Messages, but now it will be called Expiring Message. This feature will be available only for administrators in group chats, whereas in personal chats this feature can be used by both parties. When this expiring messages feature is turned on in any chat, WhatsApp will show an indicator on the profile picture in the chat list. The same indicator will also be available in chat.
