Video Nasa astronaut with 2 other returned to Earth after being stuck in space for 371 days

NASA astronaut Frank Rubio, who was ‘stranded’ in the International Space Station (ISS) for almost a year, returned to Earth on Wednesday along with Russian cosmonauts Sergei Prokopyev and Dmitry Petelin. All three went to the space station for 6 months. After reaching there, it was found that the Russian spacecraft by which they had come had a leakage. After this, the three astronauts had to stay in the ISS only. Now they have returned after 371 days. The American Space Agency has shared its video.

While in space, all three traveled more than 15 crore kilometers. Frank Rubio has become the first American to travel such a long distance in space. The three astronauts landed in Kazakhstan with the help of Soyuz MS-23.

If Russia’s Soyuz spacecraft had not malfunctioned, the three astronauts would have reached Earth long ago. The hole in the Soyuz spacecraft was first detected in December last year. Initially, Russian officials had attributed this to the collision of micrometeorites. Later that theory was proved wrong. A hole was discovered in the spacecraft, the reason for which could not be known. Russian officials had talked about an investigation, but no clear reason emerged.
