Vodafone Idea (VI) has finally started its 5G service in India. The 5G network of the company is currently lived in Mumbai, while it will be started soon in Bihar, Delhi, Karnataka and Punjab. VI has also launched a microsite for 5G on its website, where users can get information about network coverage and explore new 5G plans. The special thing is that VI is offering unlimited 5G data with all its 5G plans.

Vi 5G prepaid and postpaid plans

VI’s 5G prepaid plans start from Rs 299, with 1GB of data per day with a validity of 28 days. 1.5GB and 2GB data are being given daily in plans of Rs 349 and Rs 365 respectively. The company’s most expensive prepaid plan is Rs 3,599, with 2GB data per day with a validity of 365 days. In all these plans, the facility of unlimited 5G data is being provided.

VI has introduced four new plans for postpaid users. VI Max 451 and VI Max 551 are priced at Rs 451 and Rs 551 respectively, with 50GB and 90GB data. VI Max 751 Plan offers 150GB data for Rs 751, while REDX 1201 plan facilitates unlimited data for Rs 1,201. All postpaid plans will also get the benefit of unlimited 5G data, provided the users are in the 5G coverage area.

How long is VI’s unlimited 5G data offer?

VI’s unlimited 5G data offer is currently being offered as a promotional offer and it will not be permanent. Interestingly, VI has become India’s first telecom operator, which is also offering unlimited 5G data in a plan with less than 2GB/day. Jio and Airtel give unlimited 5G data only in those plans, which gives at least 2GB per day data.
