NASA’s Scientific Visualization Studio has released a video. It shows sea level rise over the last 3 decades. The video shows how much water has increased in our oceans between 1993 and 2022.
In February this year, United Nations Secretary General Antonio Guterres alert It was said that the way sea levels are rising around the world, it may lead to mass migration of people. According to the US space agency,
Sea levels rose and fell naturally from about 3,000 years ago to 100 years ago. But in the last 100 years, global temperatures have increased by about 1 degree Celsius (1.8 degrees Fahrenheit).
Due to this heat, the melting of ice has accelerated and the sea level has increased by about 6 to 8 inches. In the video, the change in sea level can be seen through a circular window. This 40 second video shows that the water level is increasing year after year.
Global warming is not only increasing the sea level, but people on earth are also facing severe heat. Recently, in a report, we had told you that researchers have warned that if this ‘problem’ continues to be ignored, then by the year 2100, a large part of the world’s population will have to face deadly heat. Its biggest impact will be in Africa and Asian countries. In India alone, about 60 crore people will be affected by the deadly heat. 30 crore people of Nigeria, 10 crore people of Indonesia and 8 crore people each of Philippines and Pakistan will face deadly heat.
