What is new in IRCTC Rail Connect app, let’s find out

In the new app, you will get rid of the tension of logging in again and again. In fact, for security reasons, now the user will have to set up a four-digit PIN when installing the app for the first time. Now when you start a new session of the new mobile app, you will not need to enter the login ID and password again and again. Just entering the PIN will do the job.
You will be able to book Tatkal tickets through the new app. Apart from this, the facility of premium Tatkal and women’s quota booking will also be available.
IRCTC website and app will now be completely synced. You will be able to view tickets, cancel tickets and file TDR on any platform, whereas earlier this was not possible.
It has been told that if you have booked a ticket from an official online travel agent, then you will be able to check the status of the e-ticket in the app. The app will also have the facility to change the boarding point and current reservation.
Apart from other payment wallets, IRCTC e-wallet has also been integrated in the app for faster ticket booking.
Now the question is what will happen to the old app? There is no need to worry, the tickets booked from the old mobile app will be visible in the new app as well and you can cancel them if you want.
How does this app work? Is it really made to book tickets as fast and easy as claimed? We will answer these questions for you soon.
