Whatsapp Banned 98 Lakh Accounts in India, said harmful activity was reason

Messaging app WhatsApp has banned more than 98 lakh accounts in India in June. WhatsApp has reported in its monthly report that these accounts have been banned as its measures against misuse and harmful activity. Some of these accounts have been banned before receiving reports from a user.

American social media company META owned WhatsApp Has also answered complaints received by users in June. The monthly report of WhatsApp published in the Compliance of Rules of Rules, Information Technology (Intermediate Guidelines and Digital Media Ethics Code) states that about 19.79 lakh accounts have been banned before receiving complaints from a user. In June, this messaging platform received 23,596 complaints from users. Action has been taken against 1,001 accounts related to these complaints. This involves banning accounts.

Of these complaints, 16,069 were associated with an appeal. As a result, action has been taken against 756 accounts. The report said that the sections of other complaints include the assistance related to the account, questions related to the product and the apprehensions related to safety. WhatsApp has reported that its platform takes active steps to prevent any activity that is expected to be held before it begins before it. The company said that its system of catching misuse has three major stages. These include an account setup, during messaging and a reaction to negative feedback.

WhatsApp was banned in June for the House of Representative Staff in the US. The House of Representatives of the US Congress or Parliament is the lower house. The main reason behind this was not a major reason behind the protection of the data of this messaging app. META has opposed this decision of the House of Representatives. A spokesperson of the company had said that Meta strictly opposed the instruction. The company had said that its end-to-end encryption provides a high level of security.
