Videos can be skipped while playing inside the app, for which forward or backward buttons have been added. The website has shared a screenshot, in which it can be seen that it is now possible to skip videos forward and backward by double-tapping on the left or right side of the screen. This feature appears to be similar to YouTube. With this, users can now easily navigate in the received or sent videos. This means that now you can move forward to reach the most important part of a video or rewind to watch something again without using the progress bar.
The report further states that the video forward and rewind feature is available to a limited number of beta testers who install the latest WhatsApp beta for Android update from the Google Play Store, and will be made available to more people in the coming weeks.
