Gizmochina’s Report Notably, popular social media platform WhatsApp announced this at the Samsung Galaxy Unpacked 2021 event. While previously the process of transferring chat history was complicated and could involve third-party apps, it seems the company is now offering a simpler solution. Currently, Samsung smartphones will be the first to be compatible with chat transfer to iPhone. However, we can expect this feature to become available for more iOS and Android devices sometime in the near future.

WhatsApp said that a users’ chat history is encrypted on their own devices and that migrating chats with voice notes has created a number of technical issues. But it seems that the company is working with the world’s largest smartphone maker to overcome this hurdle. The Facebook-owned messaging firm said that “WhatsApp will introduce the ability to transfer your entire WhatsApp chat history in a seamless and secure manner – including voice notes, photos and conversations – if you choose to switch mobile operating systems.” Are.

It further added that this feature means people will be able to switch between platforms of their choice, and take their WhatsApp history with them. The feature will be available to users of both Android and iOS systems – meaning people will be able to switch from Android to iOS and from iOS to Android.
