Android users also get a bottom navigation bar on WhatsApp as part of the design overhaul. This feature was rolled out in March this year. iOS users get a new attachments layout with an expandable tray instead of a full-screen menu. The recently introduced chat filters have also been redesigned, with separate tabs for unread messages and groups. Previous reports suggested that WhatsApp is testing a new zoom control feature that will let users switch between multiple zoom options while clicking photos or recording videos directly in the app.
