WhatsApp group admin will be able to delete everyone’s messages, report reveals feature will come soon
Both features have been spotted by WABetainfo, a platform that tests WhatsApp features before releasing them to general users. The feature, first spotted in WhatsApp beta for Android 2.22.17.12, is rolling out to a small group of testers and suggests that WhatsApp will soon allow group admins to delete messages for everyone. A group administrator can delete incoming messages for everyone. Group members will be able to see that an administrator has removed a message sent by another group member through the chat bubble. This feature will help group admins to moderate their WhatsApp groups in a better way.
The second feature is also for Android users on WhatsApp and it is still in the works. According to available information, the feature will provide localized in-app information about new features from WhatsApp within the app itself. This will help users stay up-to-date about information related to WhatsApp features.
In addition to the in-app announcement, users can also “find tips and tricks to improve their experience within WhatsApp.” It could also be a portal for WhatsApp owner Meta to send information about privacy and security. The thing to note is that this chat will be read-only as well as end-to-end encrypted. Apart from this, according to WABetainfo, users can also block this chat in future. Both of these features are not yet fully ready for the public. There is no release date. The admin delete feature has been rolled out to a very small number of beta testers.
