WhatsApp New Feature Share on Instagram Option Lets Android Users Share Status Updates All Details
WhatsApp features tracker, WABetaInfo, has recently released a Post has shared that the social media platform is working on an optional feature that may allow users to share WhatsApp status directly on Instagram. It was spotted on WhatsApp Beta v2.23.25.20 for Android on the Google Play Store. The platform already gives users the option to share WhatsApp status on Facebook. The new feature may also be something similar.
In the screenshot shared by WABetaInfo, options to share status updates on Facebook and Instagram are visible in the Status Privacy tab. Similar to the Share to Facebook option, users will have the option to enable or disable this feature. The report says that WhatsApp is expected to introduce this feature for all users in the future, but no exact timeline has been given.
The report says that users will also be able to control the viewers of WhatsApp status shared as Instagram Stories just like normal Instagram Stories. Once launched, this feature will make sharing information easier and may improve the reliability and consistency of sharing content across platforms.
Apart from this, the beta version of the popular messaging platform on Android was spotted with a feature that will allow searching other users on the app by their username. The feature is reportedly being prepared for an upcoming update on the app for Android users. Just like the username search feature on Telegram, this new WhatsApp update can also allow users to chat with strangers without sharing their phone number.
