WhatsApp Users May Soon Get Feature to Create AI-Generated Profile Photos

It has been told in this report that WhatsApp is testing an AI Profile Photos feature. This testing is being done in WhatsApp beta for Android 2.24.11.17 update. This has been seen along with another feature in which users will be able to create personalized stickers by giving details using AI. Based on the screenshot, WhatsApp users will have to provide details of the image they want to generate on a new page called Create AI Profile Picture.
The AI Profile Photos feature will then generate a customized photo matching the description. It has been said in this report that this feature can make it easier for users to avoid sharing their profile photo, which will reduce the risk of its misuse. This feature may be available in the upcoming version of WhatsApp for Android. However, it is important to note that not all the features that are tested are made available on the public version of WhatsApp.
Last month, WhatsApp had told the Delhi High Court that if it was forced to remove encryption, it would shut down its operations in the country. This matter is related to new IT rules. WhatsApp and Facebook have filed a petition in the Delhi High Court against these rules. Meta-owned WhatsApp says that removing encryption could threaten the privacy of users. It was argued by the company that the new IT rules weaken the privacy of the users and is also against the fundamental rights of the people. It said that there is no such rule in any other country which forces the removal of encryption.
