These days, WhatsApp is working on a new feature to sync its chat history across all platforms, this has been revealed in a recent report. This new change will be specifically lined up with multiple device support, which is speculated to be introduced as a linked device feature. With the help of this feature, you can use your WhatsApp account on four devices simultaneously. As of now, WhatsApp currently does not sync chat history. When you use WhatsApp from one device to another, all your old chat history disappears.

Let us tell you, chat history syncing feature is still present in WhatsApp, but this feature is available only for desktop app and web client. However, WhatsApp Tracker has claimed that now the messaging app is going to introduce this feature in mobile devices as well.

It is also important to mention here that to start the multiple device support process, WhatsApp will need a Wi-Fi connection, with the help of which data can be shared from one device to another.

At present, WhatsApp has not made any official statement regarding the introduction of multiple device support, although this feature has been in the headlines since July last year. The official name of this feature, Linked Devices, was revealed in the recent beta release.
