The Galaxy A50 from the Samsung brand has a 6.4-inch Super AMOLED screen with full-HD+ resolution and an in-display fingerprint sensor. It is possible to increase the storage up to 256 GB in Redmi Note 7 Pro. To give life to both the phones, a 4,000 mAh battery has been provided. But with Galaxy A50, you get a 15-watt charger, whereas with Redmi Note 7 Pro, you get a 10-watt charger. Apart from this, Qualcomm Quick Charge 4.0 technology has been used in this phone of Xiaomi brand.

The Samsung Galaxy A50 has an in-display fingerprint sensor but it is not faster than the capacitive sensor on the Redmi Note 7 Pro. Both the phones support face unlock and we found that both unlocked the phone at similar speeds.
To check the gaming performance, we tried playing PUBG Mobile on both the phones. The Redmi Note 7 Pro loaded games faster than the Samsung Galaxy A50. After setting the graphics to balanced and the frame rate to high on both the phones, we played the game for 15 minutes and found that the battery of Redmi Note 7 Pro dropped by 5 percent while the battery of Galaxy A50 recorded a drop of 4 percent. Not only this, the Redmi Note 7 Pro also became a little hotter compared to the Galaxy A50.
Both the phones are equipped with 4,000 mAh battery and on regular usage the phone lasts throughout the day. In our HD video loop test, the Galaxy A50 lasted 14 hours and 59 minutes, while the Redmi Note 7 Pro lasted 19 hours and 23 minutes. This phone charges faster due to the 15-watt charger available with the Galaxy A50 compared to the 10-watt charger available with the Redmi Note 7 Pro.
Redmi Note 7 Pro has a 48-megapixel primary camera whose aperture is F/1.79, the second is a 5-megapixel depth sensor. Samsung Galaxy A50 has three rear cameras. On the rear, a 25 megapixel sensor with F/1.7 aperture, 5 megapixel fixed focus sensor with F/2.2 aperture and 8 megapixel sensor with F/2.2 aperture are provided. We took several pictures with both the phones in different lighting to find out which one is better. Photos taken with Redmi Note 7 Pro in daylight had better details and objects were also sharp. Samsung Galaxy A50 may be a little behind but compared to Redmi Note 7 Pro, this phone of Samsung brand comes with better HDR.
Both the phones capture macro shots well and there is no lack of detail but let us tell you that Redmi Note 7 Pro also creates depth effect. For your information, let us tell you that Scene Optimizer is present in Galaxy A50.
In low light, the Galaxy A50 took bright photos but the Redmi Note 7 Pro’s photo was slightly better. The Samsung Galaxy A50 takes a little longer to lock focus in low light than the Xiaomi-branded Redmi Note 7 Pro but overall we liked its photos better.
We took some portrait photos by disabling the beautification feature on both the phones. While Samsung Galaxy A50 has the option to set the blur level, you will not get this option in Redmi Note 7 Pro. Instead the Xiaomi phone is equipped with studio lighting effect. We found that the Redmi Note 7 Pro has better camera light and it captures better details.
Talking about selfies, we found that Redmi Note 7 Pro does not get the color tone right but it captures the details well. At the same time, selfies taken from Samsung Galaxy A50 do not come out sharp. The Samsung Galaxy A50 is capable of recording video at 1080p, while the Redmi Note 7 Pro can record 4K video at 1080p video at 60 frames per second. To reduce shake, both the phones come with stabilization support.
Overall the Samsung Galaxy A50 was better in many areas such as its HDR mode and its wide-angle camera. At the same time, the performance of Redmi Note 7 Pro in daylight, landscape, macro shots and portrait photos were good.

Both these phones do not fall in the same price range as the Galaxy A50 is a bit premium compared to the Redmi Note 7 Pro. Samsung phones have better Super-AMOLED panels, in-display fingerprint sensors and their software is more up to date.
Redmi Note 7 Pro has a more powerful processor and its camera also proved to be better in many places. If you choose this phone then it is also cheaper than Samsung Galaxy A50. Let us tell you that Redmi Note 7 Pro is currently being sold in India through flash sale, so in such a situation it will be a bit difficult to buy it. If you do not want to struggle to buy a phone and do not have any problem in spending more money, then Samsung Galaxy A50 will not disappoint you at all.
