Which phone is for you between Vivo V5, Oppo F1s and Gionee S6s?

A ‘selfie war’ has broken out in the smartphone market between Vivo V5, Oppo F1S and Gionee S6S. After comparing the specifications of all these smartphones, now it is the turn to choose the winner. After reviewing these three smartphones, we can now compare these three phones in terms of different specifications and departments. And let us know which of these is a perfect package.

Vivo V5 (Review) is a new selfie smartphone in the mid-range segment that will compete with the likes of Gionee S6s (Review) and Oppo F1s (Review). The price of all these smartphones is around Rs 18,000. Know, which of these phones should you buy?

design
There is no standard in design and to a large extent it depends on personal preference. But after using these three phones, we can definitely say that Oppo F1s is the best. And there is a balance between its weight, design and beauty. The Vivo V5 is out of the running here. Although it looks good, its plastic body is not comparable to the metal body of the other two phones. Gionee S6 and Oppo F1s are made of metal body and their weight is 166 grams and 160 grams respectively. However, the Oppo F1s is the thinnest at 7.3mm thick and feels the most polished of the two phones. Apart from this, due to its curved edges, it is easier to use than Gionee S6S.

(Know: Vivo V5 vs Gionee S6s vs Oppo F1s)

Winner- Oppo F1s

display
Display is an important part of any smartphone. And in this, Gionee S6S easily comes out as the winner. Due to its full-HD resolution, this phone beats the Oppo F1s and Vivo V5 which have HD screens. Color reproduction is also quite good. We did not face any problem in reading anything on the screen even in sunlight. All three phones come with Gorilla Glass support. In such a situation, you will not have to worry about any kind of scratch on the screen. Oppo F1s stood second in terms of display performance. Even though its resolution was low, the color reproduction was extremely accurate. The display of Vivo V5 is very diverse. At times it was too saturated which may not be liked by everyone.

Winner- Gionee S6S

software
All three smartphone manufacturing companies use their own version of Android. The surprising thing is that all three versions seem to be copying Apple’s iOS in some way or the other. Vivo’s FuntouchOS 2.6 is based on Android Marshmallow which is a good thing. But the interface is more complicated than necessary. Oppo’s Color OS 3.0 is the most polished but it is still based on Android Lollipop. For this, we will choose Gionee S6S which runs on Android Marshmallow and Amigo 3.2 OS also has many customization options. The only problem is, this version comes with many apps pre-installed on your phone. Sadly, you can’t even delete them.

performance
Octa-core MediaTek processor has been used in all three smartphones. The benchmark results of all three are also almost the same. Gionee S6S uses MT6753 chipset, while Oppo F1s and Vivo V5 use MT6750 chipset. If we look at the benchmark results, the Gionee S6S proves to be the weakest, but the difference is not much. However, it lags significantly in graphics tests.

Among Vivo V5 and Oppo F1s, we would go with Vivo as it has 4GB RAM compared to 3GB RAM of the other two. Its difference will not be visible in the beginning, but after a year when you have more apps in your phone then 4 GB RAM will prove to be effective. The phone did not disappoint even in normal use. By the way, let us tell you that the variant of Oppo F1S with 4 GB RAM and 64 GB storage has started being available in the market for Rs 18,990.

Winner – Vivo V5

battery life
The battery of all three phones easily lasted for a day. But Gionee S6S beats the rest by a lot. It has a bigger 3150 mAh battery than the other two phones. It lasted 13 hours and 10 minutes in our video loop test. And it also got charged from zero to 100 percent in about two hours. You will not get this benefit from Vivo V5 and Oppo F1S.

Winner – Gionee S6S

camera
Camera is the most important part of these phones, especially the selfie camera. During testing, we found that Oppo F1S has a better camera than others. The 16 megapixel front camera takes very detailed pictures. And it doesn’t disappoint even in low light. The screen flash feature of Oppo F1S is much better as compared to F1S. This has been possible with a brighter display, but it is not completely effective in darkness. In this situation, Moonlight Glow of Vivo V5 is most effective.

We chose the Oppo F1s in this category because of its capable rear camera. Gionee and Vivo phones lag behind in this department. Thanks to the 13-megapixel sensor, Oppo F1S takes pictures with sharp and detail. There is noise in photos in low light, but the quality of the photo is not affected much.

Winner-Oppo F1s

our decision
If we look at the scores, we cannot name any one phone as the winner. Although, Gionee S6S was launched for Rs 17,999, but it will be available in the market for Rs 14,800. Oppo F1s worth Rs 17990 will be yours for Rs 16,400. However, the price of Vivo V5 remains at Rs 17,980.

Gionee S6S is better in terms of battery, software and display. And it is also the cheapest. In such a situation, the decision to buy it would be the best. If camera is your priority and design also matters to you, then consider the Oppo F1s.

Vivo V5 is the most expensive phone among these three. In terms of performance, it is better than the other two. However, it lags behind in other departments.

Hopefully, after reading this article you will not have any problem in shopping.
