Yoshi said in a statement that building a telescope at that height was technically very challenging. The Chilean government helped in this. TAO telescope is 6.5 meters. There are two science instruments installed in it. These are designed to view the universe in infrared. The name of an instrument installed in the telescope is SWIMS. It will capture images of galaxies in the early universe to discover how dust and gas accumulated in them.

The name of the second instrument is MIMIZUKU. That would be the primordial disk of dust. Stars and galaxies are formed inside this disk. Before the construction of TAO, scientists had replaced it with a mini TAO, which was 1 meter in diameter. In 2009, two years after the installation of Mini TAO, its name was also registered in the Guinness Book of World Records. Now TAO can get this success.
