According to the information, all operations of Dubai Airport will be transferred to Al Maktoum in the next 10 years. The new airport will have 5 parallel runways. This means that 5 aircraft will be able to take off or land here simultaneously. The new airport will have 400 terminal gates.

Sheikh also claimed that many new technologies of the aviation sector will be implemented in the new international airport for the first time. He also told that a city is also being built around the airport in Dubai South. It is said that after the construction of the new airport and in the future, there will be a need for houses for 1 million people in Dubai. Keeping this in mind, a new city is being established.
