Xiaomi Gets in Top 3 Brands Sells Approx 5 Million Monitors in 2024 First Half AOC Leading With HKG

Xiaomi has reportedly joined the top three monitor brands in China. Despite a modest market growth of 0.8 percent and a decline in e-commerce sales, Xiaomi’s focus on budget-focused 27-inch FHD monitors certainly seemed to be paying off. Meanwhile, AOC maintained its lead, while HKC took second place with its gaming-centric lineup. The low-end market, fueled by demand for remote work and online education, is bringing good success to brands.

The company has reportedly been focusing on office productivity monitors in its domestic market for some time now. The company is reported to have seen a modest overall market growth of 0.8 percent (4.95 million units) in the first half of 2024. Not only this, traditional e-commerce sales have seen a decline of 0.7 percent year-on-year. However, even after this the company has made its place at third place.

Xiaomi is reportedly focusing on a 27-inch FHD monitor in China. This focus has clearly gained the company considerable market share, especially in the budget-friendly segment.

It is further reported that AOC still remains the leading monitor brand in China. However, its sales have also slowed down compared to last year. Meanwhile, HKC, known for its gaming-centric monitors, took second place. The brand’s emphasis on 27-inch QHD gaming monitors appealed to customers, accounting for 80 percent of its sales.

The low-end market in terms of monitors in China is now reportedly up by more than 2 percent compared to last year. Xiaomi certainly took advantage of this. While the gaming segment is witnessing an increase in monitor sales, the report says that the increasing importance of remote work and online education is expected to further increase the demand for office productivity displays.
