Xiaomi Reportedly working on high end tablet to compete Apple iPad

Xiaomi is reportedly preparing to launch a new device with an impressive battery and charging capacity. According to well-known tipster Digital Chat Station, the device features a dual cell battery design with a combined rated capacity of 5,900mAh. This setup equates to a large 12,000mAh single-cell battery, which should last for a long time. Apart from this the device supports 120W fast charging. This is a feature that allows much faster charging than the previous model.

Xiaomi will soon launch its next tablet

Nothing has been clarified yet, but it is being speculated that this device is a new tablet will be. Previous rumors have suggested that Xiaomi could launch an OLED tablet next year, which will feature an 11-inch display with a 144Hz refresh rate. Apart from this, top-tier Snapdragon processor, up to 24GB RAM and 120W fast charging support will be available. The design of the upcoming device may be similar to the Xiaomi Pad 6 series. However, there is a possibility that it could be an upcoming OLED tablet, but nothing can be said clearly yet.

The tipster has also clarified that the tablet is not a part of Xiaomi’s Redmi lineup and is expected to be priced around 4,000 Yuan (roughly Rs. 46,681). Let us tell you that the price of 12GB + 512GB of the current generation Xiaomi Pad 7 Pro is 3,499 Yuan (approximately Rs 40,803). Which shows that this new tablet will come in the premium segment, competing directly with the iPad.

Xiaomi Pad 7, Pad 7 Pro Specifications

Xiaomi introduced the Xiaomi Pad 7 and Xiaomi Pad 7 Pro along with the Xiaomi 15 series in China in October. Both tablets feature an 11.2-inch 3K anti-glare LCD screen with Eye Protection and a refresh rate of 144Hz. It has a paper-like texture for stylus use. Pad 7 has Snapdragon 7+ Gen 3 processor, while 7 Pro has Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor. Both tablets work on Xiaomi HyperOS 2. It has features like stepless adjustment and floating keyboard with backlighting. The Pad 7 has a 13-megapixel rear and 8-megapixel front camera, while the 7 Pro has a 50-megapixel rear camera and 32-megapixel front camera. Both models support Wi-Fi 7 and Dolby Atmos. The Pad 7 tablet supports 45W charging and the 7 Pro tablet supports 67W charging. The Pad 7 series is also expected to be launched in India soon.
