YouTube Hype Feature in India Boost Small Creators with Minimum 500 Subscribers

YouTube has launched a new feature in India, named Hype. Its aim is to give more exposure to small and mid-level creators and spread them to new audiences. According to YouTube, many times creators who have active fanbase find it difficult to reach new viewers. Keeping this challenge in mind, the company has prepared a Hype tool. Currently, this feature is for channels whose subscribers are between 500 to 5 lakhs.

Hype feature Under, whenever a video is published, viewers can “hype” it within the first 7 days. Any user can hyple up to three times a week and is absolutely free. The video gets points from each hyp and the more points you get, the more the video will climb the leaderboard in the Explore section. With the top 100 hypmed videos, the video will get a chance of getting more organic traffic.

Once a video makes a place on the leaderboard, it can also be promoted in YouTube’s home feed when it is found more hype. Not only this, a special badge will also be seen on the Hypes made, which will tell that this video is a favorite of viewers.

YouTube says that to provide more support to small creators, bonus points will also be available according to the subscriber base. That is, the less subscriber, the more bonus, the more bonus, so that every creator can get a chance to equal. The feature was previously tested in Türkiye, Taiwan and Brazil, where over 50,000 channels were hypes over 50,000 times in just the first four weeks.
