Youtube will remove misleading abortion videos from its platform, this is the reason

According to a news agency report, the Supreme Court’s decision has increased the pressure on tech companies. They have needed to take action against such content and videos which contain material making false claims about abortion. Earlier this month, Google announced that it would automatically refine information about users who visit abortion clinics or other places. These can create legal problems because of the Supreme Court decision.
But some lawmakers are putting pressure on Google to work on limiting the presence of pregnancy centers in its search engine results. Regarding this, the Attorney General wrote in a letter to Google and its parent company CEO Sundar Pichai on Thursday that suppressing pro-life and pro-mother voices at the insistence of government officials would violate the most basic principle of American market ideas. .
According to media reports, regarding YouTube’s move, company spokesperson Elena Hernandez has said that it is important to connect people with health topics and we constantly review our policies. Starting today and over the next few weeks, we will be removing content from our platform that directs people toward unsafe abortion methods or promotes false claims about abortion. YouTube says that it will globally remove such videos from its platform, in which unsafe abortion at home and false claims related to them are made.
